On Wednesday we told you about Veritas Industries, the completely legitimate and not at all made up science company that was looking for human volunteers to take part in the final stages of the Insomnium Project and today we are very excited to tell you a little bit more about what that is.

For those of you that haven’t dug through the website, Veritas Industries was founded in 1834 by John Adams and Dr. Walter Kane with the goal of pushing the boundaries in every area of science imaginable. To this day Veritas is still headed up by John and Walter in their relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Their latest endeavour, the Insomnium Project, is still a heavily guarded secret, even to many in the company itself, with only the full extent of it being known by the upper echelon of management.

Outside of the inner circle the only people who know anything about the project, but in reality they know very little, are the lucky participants that volunteered to take part in the final stages of testing.

These lucky few have been living in the purpose built facility for some time now, undergoing what, I don’t even know – I wasn’t part of the inner circle and there was no way I was signing up to take part in shady experiments ran by a nefarious science company, not again anyway.

This is where the new game starts, having just volunteered to take part in the study you find yourself waking up in a small room with no memory of what happened the day before. All you remember is signing on the bottom line and following some nice men wearing white coats, but they couldn’t have been lying to you could they? They were doctors for goodness sake.

If all this sounds familiar then maybe you’re just suffering from déjà vu? Veritas are no doubt working on a cure for that.

We will be releasing more info and screenshots about the game over the course of its development as well as letting you know how you’ll be able to help us test it in due course.

It will be releasing on iOS, Android, Windows, and OSX, on an unknown date in the future at an as yet undecided price.

For now, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and sign up to our newsletter.

Thank you for helping us build a better world!
