We’re super-duper extra excited to say that Veritas will be releasing on February 12th, 2020 on PC, Mac, iOS and Android and there is a beta available now in our Discord – http://glitch.games/discord
In case you’re new around here, Veritas is a narrative-driven psychological mystery, played from a first-person perspective, that poses the question; what is truth, and does it even matter?
Armed with only a disposable camera and a quick wit, will you discover the truth behind the corrupt Veritas Industries?

At this point, I dont believe a word Glitch Games says. They are easily my favorite game developers, but they aren’t trustworthy. Hurts to say that but its true.

I’m sorry to hear this ( not the favourite game developer part, that’s cool ) but why don’t you trust us? Games ( and everything creative ) get delayed all the time.

Wow. Harsh comment. I guess some people don’t know how to have patience these days. I am looking forward to playing this, mostly because you all put out a great product! It has been a while, but good things come to those who wait. Cheers guys!

Yea, I think people who have never tried to make anything creative ( book, movie, game, song, painting, anything ) don’t always realise how long things take ( and how life often gets in the way ). Thank you so much for having the patience for us!

I completely agree with (P). The game was originally supposed to come out in 2018! Then delayed till SOMETIME in 2019! Now February of 2020! Complete bullcrap if you ask me. Certainly not a good way to do business. It’s like you guys can’t run your fans off fast enough!

Games are hard. They take time. Not only that, when we originally designed Veritas it was going to be a small game, but then we realised we liked the story too much and wanted to expand on it which meant delays. Plus, Glitch is just the two of us and we have lives outside work ( and in the past 2 years that’s including 2 new children ).
We don’t owe anyone the game, it’ll come out when it comes out. If you want to wait for it, that’s great ( there are PLENTY of other games to play in that time ) but if you don’t want to wait, that’s also fine. We won’t miss you.

“Yea, I think people who have never tried to make anything creative ( book, movie, game, song, painting, anything )”
Eeek. Making passive-aggressive assumptions about the about people you depend on to buy your game isn’t the best MO.
Meeting deadlines is crucial. You can only cry wolf so many times.
And I’m not entirely certain how you could possibly know whether I’ve created a “book, movie, game, song, painting, anything”.
However, what you can be certain about is that I will no longer purchase your content.
Thanks you for your reply.

You’re right, I shouldn’t have made an assumption, ( you know what they say about making an assumption – it makes you look like a prat ) and for that I apologise. You caught me on a bad day, that’s not an excuse though just an explanation.
We are very aware that meeting deadlines is crucial and that’s why for the last year whenever someone has asked for a release date we’ve said “we’ve missed this before by getting too excited so now we’re not going to say anything until it’s final”, which is what we just did.
That is fine, as I said there is plenty of other content that deserves players spending money on it so please do that. We have a game recommendations channel in our discord specifically set up so our players can tell each other about other games they should be playing.

Not trying to really enter this silly discussion, but if anyone here has been involved in the Nancy Drew games and the 4 year wait for the new installment…Graham is right. Things take a long time to develop. Life happens, making the game, making the story, testing, everything takes time. Just because someone says it’s coming out but then is delayed a year or whatever, doesn’t mean they are lying. Nor does it mean that you write them off. I think we all need more patience and understanding these days because everyone is too sensitive and demanding. I was bummed that this game kept getting delayed, but I kept the faith. Like I said, good things come to those who wait. I also feel that Graham does not need to apologize for ANYTHING. You work hard to put out a good product and I applaud you for that.

I *LOVE* Glitch Games, can’t wait for this new game! By the way, will there be a sequel of All That Remains?

Glad to hear that!
As we’re just two people we can only work on one game at a time, currently that is Veritas. After that is out, we’re not sure what we’re working on next.

What about the ending tho guys? I know all the endings from previous episodes were sudden, and I loved them. But this one I don’t know… It seemed like unfinished business. Too sudden, too unthoughtful.. Will there be a next episode?

Sorry you felt that way!
We’ve discussed the possibility of releasing some DLC called “The Lost Chapters” or something, but right now we want to work on non-Veritas games for a while.
