Welcome to Thursday Question Time – our weekly chance to get some feedback from you guys whilst also getting to know you a little bit better.
Ok, so first off, I know it’s not actually Thursday, but let’s not let that get in the way. I was at MGF the last 2 days and when I got back yesterday I was tired. I mean, super tired. Also, one of the talks at MGF was by Nicholl Hunt and he pointed out that as indies, we don’t have to play by the rules, we can colour outside the lines, we can not use coasters on glass tables, so to add to that – we can post Thursday questions on Friday, screw the calendar.
Now back on topic, we’ve recently released our games onto desktops and would love to get them onto Steam as well so our question today is; do you use Steam?
For a game to be put on Steam it needs to go through the Greenlight process which is essentially a community vote, and naturally with you being our community, it’d be super-helpful if you were able to vote Yes when the time comes.

Don’t really use Steam now but have in the past for Portal and Portal 2.
What happened to The Lake? Is there are drought in England?

Love Portal, will have to replay that ( again ) soon!
The Lake is still coming, at some point, however it’s just the two of us here so we can really only work on one game at the time.
Haha, drought?!? This is England, we basically invented rain 🙂

I use steam for ironing and cooking healthy vegetables
I know I’m really old so perhaps that means I should know what steam means, but I’m guessing it may mean something to do with fuddy duddy PCs rather than iPads etc
Well I hardly ever use PC for games now… Because I like the portability of iPad and iPhone
But if a game on PC was superfantabadozie I’d give it a go and might have to temporarily move into the spare room which houses PC until game was finished … Staying in PJs and stocking up on provisions
Oh the days of Journeyman Project and Myst when I barely saw the light of day, and lived in a blue fugue of fag smoke and alcohol fumes
.. So perhaps portability is a bit healthier
But if a game can be bettered on steam, then I’m prepared to sacrifice portability and mobility to squat on a PC chair for the good of the cause

I’m with you on the vegetable front, but less so the ironing 🙂
Yea you’re correct, Steam is basically the iOS App Store for PC ( I’ve generalised that slightly but that’s basically the case ). If we put our games on there, they would essentially be the same as the mobile versions, only on a bigger screen 🙂
